• January 1981 – Founded in Atlanta as an investigative firm
• June 1981 - Established Special Operations Division
• November 1981 - Established Uniformed Safety/Security Division

• 1987 - Opened branch office in Savannah, Georgia (relocated to Hilton Head, South Carolina, in 2004)

• 2002 - Partnered with Priority One Security to provide perimeter security at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Atlanta, Georgia
• 2005 - Became the largest and oldest locally owned security firm in Atlanta, and expanded to 25,000 weekly guard hours with 800+ employees
• 2005 - Norred establishes presence in South Florida
• 2006 - Celebrates its 25th year in business, expanded services into Texas and Gulf Coast, Alabama
• 2007 - Norred partners with the Humane Society of the United States
• 2008 - Norred expands into New York, New Jersey, and Ohio
• 2009 - Norred expands HSUS involvement into Florida
• 2009 - Norred adds Dallas, Texas operations
